Watts Reunion Information
The Watts Reunion is a yearly event that takes place on the last Sunday of July. Pre-reunion activities begin on Saturday at 9:00am, with geneaology information in the conference room at Hemlock Lodge at Natural Bridge State Resort Park in Slade, Kentucky.
The Reunion begins around nine o' clock on Sunday morning at shelter two in Natural Bridge State Park, with coffee and doughnuts at registration. At 10:00, registration for the horse shoe tournament begins, and shortly after that there is a geaneology presentation by Steve Bowling, the Watts Family Historian. At 11:30 there is gospel singing, followed by the big event of the day -- lunch! At 12:50, the business meeting will commence, with information regarding the financial status of the association as well as scholarship information. Around 1:30, the auction will begin. Some of the items sold are handcrafted by members of the Watts clan. All of the proceeds from the auction go to support the David Watts Scholarship Fund. We like to end the day on a high note, with music and singing from many of the Watts kinfolk beginning about 2:30. Watts memorabilia and merchandise will also be sold at the reunion. Items may include t-shirts, cookbooks, calendars, coffee mugs, and much more. Proceeds from these sales go to support the general fund, and helps us keep the reunion going strong.
